In a distant future, the world is a utopia thanks to the influence of two 20th-century rock musicians, Bill and Ted. However, their peaceful existence is threatened when an evil robot is sent back in time to kill them. The boys must find a way to outsmart death and travel to Heaven and Hell to return to life, rescue their girlfriends, and perform a triumphant concert at the Battle of the Bands.
