Before pursuing a career in writing, Dana made a name for herself in the acting world, securing guest roles on popular television shows such as "Family Ties".

However, it was her passion for writing that ultimately led her to excel in the field. Her impressive repertoire of screenplays boasts some notable titles, including the Kevin Hart-starring film "Fatherhood", the romantic adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel "Safe Haven", directed by Lasse Hallstrom.

Other notable screenplays include "City of Angels", a film that starred Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan, "For Love of the Game", directed by Sam Raimi, "Blink", directed by Michael Apted, and "Life or Something Like It", starring Angelina Jolie.
