American Gangster

Frank Lucas, a former employee of Bumpy Johnson, rises to become the top heroin importer in Harlem after Johnson's death. He achieves this by sourcing heroin directly from Southeast Asia and using an innovative smuggling method. Lucas's high-quality product and lower prices quickly make him the dominant figure in the drug trade. Meanwhile, a dedicated and honest detective, Richie Roberts, leads a joint narcotics task force with the Federal government in a quest to take down Lucas and bring him to justice.
