Two cowhands, Ross Bodine and Frank Post, work on the R-Bar-R ranch, dreaming of a better life. After a fellow cowboy's tragic accident, Post proposes a plan to rob a bank, and Bodine reluctantly joins in. They succeed in the heist, but their betrayal sparks a pursuit by their ranch boss, Walt Buckman, and his sons, John and Paul, who are determined to bring them to justice.
