Two struggling musicians, Scat Sweeney and Hot Lips Barton, stow away on a ship to Rio after accidentally setting fire to a circus tent. They become entangled with Lucia, a woman who has been hypnotized into marrying a man she doesn't love, and they must intervene to stop the wedding and catch the crooks behind the scheme.
