Biography

Ms. Andrews, along with her sisters Patty and Maxene, formed one of the most illustrious and accomplished women's singing groups in the history of music, boasting an impressive collection of 19 gold records and astonishing sales of nearly 100 million copies. This talented trio's musical journey began in the early 1930s, when the Great Depression devastated their father's business, leaving the sisters with no choice but to turn to music to support themselves.

Their remarkable career spanned several decades, with their first major hit arriving in 1937 with the iconic song 'Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen'. This milestone marked the beginning of a long and illustrious list of chart-topping hits, including the beloved classics 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy', 'Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree', and 'Rum and Coca Cola', to name just a few.

Despite their immense success, the trio's time together ultimately came to an end in 1967 following the tragic passing of Laverne Andrews. The sisters struggled to find a suitable replacement to fill the void left by Laverne's departure, ultimately deciding to bring their remarkable musical journey to a close.
