In this twisted tale, a trapeze artist named Cleopatra becomes infatuated with a midget named Hans, who is set to inherit a large sum of money. However, her true intentions are far from romantic, as she is only interested in Hans for his wealth. Meanwhile, Cleopatra is also having an affair with a fellow circus performer, Hercules. Hans's fiancée tries to warn him of Cleopatra's true nature, but he refuses to listen. At their wedding party, a drunken Cleopatra lets her true feelings be known, insulting the sideshow performers. Enraged, the group of misfits decides to take revenge and make Cleopatra one of their own, forever changing her life.
