Star Trek: Generations

In the late 23rd century, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-B's maiden voyage turns into a disaster when it's forced to rescue two transport ships from a mysterious energy ribbon. The starship barely escapes with its life, but loses Captain James T. Kirk in the process. Seventy-eight years later, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D crew must stop renegade scientist Dr. Tolian Soran, who is destroying entire star systems. To do so, they seek the help of a man who has been dead for decades.
