Kishen and Karan, like family, raise Prem together after Kishen's wife gives birth. Years later, they part ways, and Karan, now a mechanic, leaves his daughter Suman with Kishen's family. Suman befriends Prem, and their friendship blossoms into love. However, Kishen plans to marry Prem to Seema, his business partner's daughter, and insults Suman when she discovers their relationship. Karan returns, enraged by the treatment of his daughter, and leaves with Suman. Prem also leaves, determined to marry Suman with Karan's blessing. To win Karan's approval, Prem must prove he can earn a living on his own.
