A hospital crisis erupts when medical staff walk off the job, jeopardizing the well-being of both patients and staff.

Mick Travis, a reporter, is producing a documentary about Britannia Hospital, a facility reflecting the darker aspects of British society. On the day the Queen Mother is set to visit, sinister scientific experiments led by Professor Millar will take place. Chaos ensues as hospital staff, including cooks and painters, and a notorious African dictator, create a nightmare for the Queen and Mick Travis.
