An American archaeology professor, Michael Nazzaro, comes to Russia to teach history at the University of Moscow, while secretly seeking the treasure of the Knights of Templar. He's aided by a 16th-century book and a Russian street racing celebrity, Wolf, who has a medallion crucial to deciphering the treasure's location. Despite failing to win the medallion in a drag race, Michael and Wolf form a bond, while the Moscow police and a historian, a descendant of a Persecutor of the Knights, pursue them.
