A wealthy businessman, Jack Hartounian, tries to gain membership at the exclusive Bushwood County Club to impress his daughter's snobby friends. However, his crass behavior and plan to build affordable housing in a wealthy neighborhood jeopardize his application. Jack turns to Ty Webb, the club's majority shareholder, and purchases his shares, taking over the club and implementing changes that antagonize the members. The dispute escalates, leading to a showdown on the golf course, where the club president takes a bold move.
