On the final night of the carnival, a group of locals, including a newly in-love couple, a coach, waitresses, and a teenage boy with learning difficulties, decide to spend the night at the river. Unbeknownst to them, a mysterious figure, troubled by a tragic past, is lurking in the shadows, seeking revenge on those they blame for their misfortunes. As the group tries to leave, the killer sets out to ensure no one escapes the area alive.
