Torrance Shipman leads the Rancho Carne High cheer team after Big Red's departure, determined to prove her boyfriend wrong. When Carver gets injured, Torrance and her teammates must find a replacement for the finals. She chooses Missy Pantone, who notices that their routine is stolen from the East Compton Clovers, a rival school. The Clovers' leader, Isis, is determined to defeat Rancho Carne. Torrance must create a new routine to qualify for the national championships, while also developing feelings for Cliff Pantone, Missy's brother.
