Victor Holstein was born on April 9th, 1980, in Springfield, Illinois, USA, as the youngest of five children, including triplet sisters. He grew up with a unique background, having performed as a singing cowboy in his family's traveling musical evangelism act, The Holstein Herd, at just four years old.
Initially, Victor believed he was destined to be a music minister in the Nazarene Church, and he attended two semesters of theology school before shifting his focus. He then moved to Chicago to study theater at Columbia College Chicago, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts in 2004. During his time at Columbia College, he was fortunate to study under the guidance of Sheldon Patinkin and his talented staff.
After completing his studies, Victor relocated to Los Angeles, where he began his career in the entertainment industry. He worked as a set production assistant on the NBC show Las Vegas (2003) and also appeared in numerous independent films, television shows, and soap operas, including a recurring role as a cop on the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives (1965). Additionally, he continued his training at Second City Hollywood and Elizabeth Mestnik Studios for on-camera training, taught by the renowned Brad Greenquist.
In 2014, Victor returned to his hometown of Chicago, where he has continued to build his career. He played the role of Charles Lyon in the immersive show Southern Gothic in 2018-19 and then appeared in Timeline Theatre's production of Oslo at the Broadway Playhouse downtown. In 2021, Victor understudied in Steppenwolf Theatre's critically acclaimed remount of Bug, written by Tracy Letts, starring Carrie Coon and Namir Smallwood.
Victor's most recent stage role was the ghost of Elvis Presley in Terry Spencer Hesser's play "Christmas With Elvis" at the Chopin Theatre in Chicago's Wicker Park, directed by Dexter Bullard. He has also secured a supporting role in the upcoming feature film Adventure Tom (2025),which has already screened at two film festivals and is set for release in the near future.
Victor is represented by Gray Talent Group and continues to work in the entertainment industry, pursuing his passion for acting and producing.
