Troy Quane is a renowned Canadian-American animation industry veteran, boasting an impressive track record of directing major studio pictures, including the high-profile films Spies in Disguise, starring Hollywood A-listers Will Smith and Tom Holland, and the Academy Award-nominated film Nimona, which is based on the critically acclaimed graphic novel of the same name by ND Stevenson.
Prior to his directorial endeavors, Quane honed his skills as a traditional animator on various feature films and high-end commercials, until 2005, when he seized the opportunity to work as a storyboard supervisor on the critically acclaimed live-action Disney film Enchanted. This experience laid the groundwork for his future success, as he went on to work in the story department for various studios, eventually leading him to direct the twenty-two-minute short film The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol.
Today, Quane resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut, where he continues to make a lasting impact on the world of animation.
