In a futuristic medieval world, knight Ballister Boldheart is wrongly accused of a crime and turns to Nimona, a rebellious teenager with the ability to shapeshift, to clear his name. Despite being a creature Ballister was trained to destroy, Nimona becomes his unlikely ally as they embark on a quest to wreak havoc and prove Ballister's innocence.
