Starla Christian is a renowned American filmmaker and producer with a remarkable career spanning over 19 years. Following her graduation from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Dance, with concentrations in Acting and Scenic Painting, she ventured into the film industry, gradually accumulating a wealth of experience in various roles that have contributed to her growth as a producer.
Throughout her career, Starla has demonstrated exceptional versatility, taking on multiple positions that have honed her skills and prepared her for her current role as a producer. Notably, she has amassed significant experience as a Production Designer, having designed sets for over 60 films and projects. Additionally, she has also worked as an Assistant Director, and her true passion lies in producing, writing, and directing.
In 2007, Starla founded her own production company, Speed of Light Productions, driven by a desire to create films that inspire, guide, release, and empower audiences. Her company aims to push boundaries, explore new themes, and challenge conventional norms. That same year, she produced her first feature film, Deadland Dreaming.

Starla finds the process of watching a film come together from start to finish to be one of the most rewarding experiences, alongside sharing the final product with the cast, crew, and audience.
