Sandro Ventura, a renowned filmmaker and journalist, was born on July 7, 1969, in Lima, Peru, to Guillermo Ventura and Carmen Mantilla. As the eldest of three brothers, he grew up with a strong foundation, which would later shape his creative pursuits.
In 1987, Sandro married Mapy Pedreros, with whom he had three children: Sandro, Alain, and Macarena. The couple remained together until their divorce in 1997. This life-changing event marked a turning point for Sandro, as he refocused his energy on his true passion - filmmaking.
Following his high school graduation, Sandro decided to pursue a career in the film industry. In 1994, he majored in journalism and movie criticism at El Comercio diary, where he honed his skills as a journalist. During his time at El Comercio, Sandro had the privilege of interviewing A-list celebrities such as Mel Gibson, Vin Diesel, Shakira, and Enrique Iglesias, as well as acclaimed directors like Luis Mandoki, Stephen Sommers, and Rupert Wainwright.
In 2000, Sandro bid farewell to his journalism career and embarked on a new path as a TV producer. He worked on various TV shows, where he crossed paths with the talented TV host and actress Fiorella Rodriguez. The two eventually tied the knot in 2003, marking a new chapter in Sandro's personal life.
Throughout his career, Sandro has directed four short films, numerous documentaries, and his first feature-length film, the comedy Talk Show, which garnered immense success in Peru.
