Paul's illustrious career commenced in the United Kingdom, where he initially made a name for himself as a skilled illustrator, crafting captivating science fiction, fantasy, and horror visualizations for a variety of mediums, including computer games, book covers, and magazines.
Following the successful completion of his Master's Degree in Computer Animation, Paul made the bold decision to relocate to New Zealand, where he had the esteemed opportunity to work as a visual effects artist on the highly acclaimed and award-winning Peter Jackson-directed trilogy, The Lord of the Rings.
Throughout his tenure in the film industry, Paul has also demonstrated his versatility as a director, helming a trio of short films that showcase his unique storytelling abilities: Night of the Hell Hamsters, Eel Girl, and The Naughty List. Furthermore, Paul's impressive repertoire also includes the direction of the World War II horror feature film, The Devil's Rock.
