With a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),Vidauri has established himself as a talented filmmaker, garnering a Student Emmy award for his work. His independent films have garnered widespread recognition, earning accolades such as Best Director and Best Feature awards at numerous festivals across the country.
One of his earliest notable features, "Lola's Love Shack," is a poignant coming-of-age story about three Latinx boys navigating adolescence in Los Angeles. The film earned praise from Will Ferrell, who praised its heartfelt and humorous tone.
Vidauri's sophomore feature, "In Other Words," examines the challenges of love across language barriers, and was picked up by HBO Max in 2020. The film went on to win the Best Comedy award at the Sacramento International Film Festival.
During the pandemic of 2020, Vidauri shot his film "Divorce Bait," which was acquired by Samuel Goldwyn after a bidding war with Lionsgate. He received a Best Director award at the Mexican American Film Festival for his work on the film.
His fourth feature, "Townhouse Confidential," is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice, set entirely in New York's Greenwich Village.
Vidauri's fifth film, "Say A Little Prayer," stars multi-platinum recording artist Luis Fonsi in his first feature film. Shot on location in San Antonio, Texas, the film has received widespread acclaim, boasting a 99% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
As a television producer, Vidauri has worked on a range of projects, including the Netflix documentary "The Day I Met El Chapo, The Kate Del Castillo Story," and the Prime Time drama "Desire." He is also a member of the local 700 union television editors, with credits on shows such as "Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey," "Lip Sync Battle with LL Cool J," and "La Voz Kids," the Spanish version of "The Voice."
In addition to his work in film and television, Vidauri has also been involved in radio, hosting the Latinx political satire comedy talk show "The Pocho Hour of Power" on 90.7 KPFK for over a decade.
Vidauri is married to writer/producer Cristina Nava, and they reside with their three children in Porter Ranch, California.
