Mark Belasco's journey in the entertainment industry began in the vibrant New York City theater community, where he studied with renowned acting teachers. Throughout his career, he has appeared in over thirty stage productions, directed and produced numerous plays, and even starred in the sold-out run of North of Providence, earning outstanding reviews.
Inspired by the overwhelmingly positive response to the play, Mark decided to produce a film adaptation, reprising his role and adapting the screenplay. Shot on 16mm, the film became a huge hit on the festival circuit, winning four awards, including best film, best adaptation, and best actor for Mark's performance.
In 2005, Mark relocated to Los Angeles, where he studied under the late Milton Katselas. He continued to act, develop film and television ideas, and even created the sitcom High Hopes, which became a semi-finalist in the Scriptapalooza TV competition.
Mark briefly returned to his New York roots in 2007 to act in and produce the mystery thriller Polycarp, starring Michael Pare and Charles Durning. The film was distributed by Universal's Vivendi. He then leveraged his years of executive sales experience to start working as a Producer's Representative, placing a total of seventy-eight films for distribution.
Mark went on to executive-produce the pilot for the kids show Cricket and the Little Girl Power and produced and acted in the anticipated indie mob thriller Sinatra Club, which told the true story of a 1972 heist that helped establish a young John Gotti as an up-and-coming mafia leader.
Recently, Mark joined Adler & Associates Entertainment, Inc. as Vice President of Distribution.
