Marco Spagnoli is a renowned Italian journalist, film critic, writer, and director who has been actively working in the entertainment and media industry since he was 20 years old. He is the Deputy Director and Head of Doc & Factual at Mia Market Italy, collaborating with various film and TV events across the country.
Spagnoli has written and directed several podcast series, including Interno Giorno (Amazon Audible),Volare!, and Sophia - Voce di una Diva (Rai Radio3). He is also the editor of Il giornale dello Spettacolo, Italy's most respected trade magazine in the industry.
As a documentary director, Spagnoli has been nominated three times for the Italian Academy Award (David di Donatello) and has won a Silver Ribbon with his documentaries on cinema history. Many of his works have been awarded in international festivals.
Spagnoli has written and directed several documentaries, including Hollywood on Tiber, which premiered at the 66th Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for the 2010 David di Donatello in the "Best Documentary" category. He has also directed Hollywood Invasion, which premiered at the 68th Venice Film Festival and was nominated at the Focal International Awards 2012 in the category Best use of footage in a Arts Production.

He has also written and directed Walt Disney and Italy - A Love Story, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in the Venice Classics selection.
Spagnoli has written and directed several other documentaries, including Enrico Lucherini - Some of my lies are true, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival and won a Special Silver Ribbon. He has also written and directed two short documentary projects, including Great Women: Mina and Great Women: Matilde Serao.
In 2016, Spagnoli wrote and directed a series of commercials titled #IoFaccioFilm, which promoted intellectual property protection and nurtured creativity among young generations. He has also written and directed Cinecittà Babylon - Sex, Drugs and Black Shirts, which premiered at the Rome Film Festival.

Spagnoli has written and directed several other documentaries, including Italian Moon - Rocco Petrone and Apollo 11 voyage, which premiered on History Channel and Istituto Luce.
