Biography

Marc Sandler's illustrious career began in the indie film scene, where he showcased his versatility as a triple-threat talent, writing, producing, and starring in the critically acclaimed and award-winning feature film Shadow Glories.

As a seasoned actor, Marc has appeared in a wide range of films, including Ziad Hamzeh's Baal, Tony Spiridakis' Self Storage, Marek Provost's The Last Supper, Jordan Ellis' Guns Before Butter, and most recently, Irrefutable Proof.

In repertory theatre, Marc has earned numerous accolades, including the Dramalogue's Critics Choice Award for Best Performance by an Actor for his work in David Rabe's Goose And Tomtom. He has also created original roles in the casts of Dalene Young's Night Angels and Roxy Ventola's After The Bomb, and appeared in revivals of Nicholas Kazan's Blood Moon and Orson Welles' Moby Dick, Rehearsed.

As an original member of Los Angeles' critically acclaimed and award-winning Open Fist Theatre, Marc served as Assistant Artistic Director, acting teacher, and actor. He has also worked with The West Coast Ensemble Company, studying at The Philadelphia Company of the Walnut Street Theatre, and received master class instruction under Misha Nuchi of The Moscow Art Theatre.

Marc has written several screenplays, including Shadow Glories, Working Class Heroes, Tangled Up In Blu, Ballistic, Neverland, and the television pilot Doctors In Lala Land, as well as co-writing the screenplays Asmahan and Hangman. Asmahan received semi-finalist honors in the Shasha Grant $100,000 Screenplay Competition, while Shadow Glories garnered semi-finalist honors from The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Nicholl Foundation and The Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema.

Marc has also worked as a script analyst for The USA Cable Network's feature film division, taught screenwriting at The Maine International Film and Television Workshops and Grub Street in Boston, and contributed to TBS Network's Feed Your Mind.

As a director, Marc has helmed stage productions of Harold Pinter's The Lover, John Lewis Carlino's Snow Angel, and the American theatrical premiere of April de Angelis' Hush, all in Los Angeles. For Hamzeh Mystique Films, he has co-produced the documentaries Woman and The Letter, associate produced ¡Henry O!, Bleacher Boys, and Playbyplaymen, and story designed Woman, The Letter, ¡Henry O!, Bleacher Boys, and Playbyplaymen.

Marc is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA, and continues to be a respected figure in the entertainment industry.
