Biography

Malcolm Danare's acting career began with a dramatic role in the 1983 film "The Lords of Discipline" for Paramount Pictures, where he played the character of Poteete. This was followed by his iconic role in the 1983 film "Flashdance" for Paramount.

Danare's subsequent film appearances included a diverse range of roles in films such as Mel Brooks' comedy "Robin Hood: Men in Tights", Walter Hill's drama "Crossroads", Amy Heckerling's comedy "European Vacation", Michael Dinner's drama "Heaven Help Us" (also known as "Catholic Boys"),Bob Clark and Mark Herrier's horror film "Popcorn", and John Carpenter's horror classic "Christine". He also co-starred in Columbia Pictures' "Godzilla" and its animated series follow-up.

From 2004 to 2006, Danare recurred in the hit CBS series "CSI: Miami", playing the villainous character of Ned Ostroff.

In 2014, Danare began co-starring in the crime drama "American Justice", the horror farce "Smothered", and the wacky comedy "The Martini Shot".

Recently, Danare co-produced two films set to be released in 2016: "The Summerland Project", a science fiction film set in the future, starring Ed Begley Jr., Kate Vernon, and Eddie Jemison; and "The Taker", a contemporary horror film.

As a voice-over actor, Danare currently plays the character of Kipling in the hit cartoon series "Monster High" and the voice of Tiny in the cartoon "Ever After High" for Nickelodeon.
