Post-graduation from the University of Southern California Film School, Liz embarked on a journey of cinematic exploration, dedicating several years to directing episodes for the esteemed PBS/Hulu series "Just Seen It". Concurrently, she honed her skills by crafting shorts and music videos, including the captivating "You're So Pony" by Beth Thorney.
Fast-forward to 2015, when Liz's debut feature, Bread and Butter, made its triumphant arrival, boasting credits as writer, director, producer, and cast member. The Orchard proudly released this masterpiece, which subsequently premiered on Hulu and airlines worldwide, as well as VOD platforms. Critics and audiences alike praised Bread and Butter, with HelloGiggles hailing it as "an absolute must-watch for women everywhere".
Liz's sophomore feature, Speed of Life, garnered equally impressive acclaim, with noted film critic Tim Cogshell of NPR's "FilmWeek" praising it as "delightful in just about every way". This cinematic gem is now airing on Showtime, further solidifying Liz's reputation as a talented and innovative filmmaker.
Currently, Liz is set to release a short film starring the talented trio of Laura San Giacomo, Sandra Seacat, and Erika Longo (LINA). Moreover, she is attached to direct five feature films in active development, including I Can Change, Hold Me Now, Thin Blue Veins, The Black Lodge, and Friendship is Hell.
As a testament to her dedication to her craft, Liz is also the co-host of the popular podcast Making Movies Is Hard!!!, which has garnered a significant following.
