Kyle Shepherd is a renowned South African film composer, pianist, and band leader. He is internationally recognized for his distinctive compositional style and performances. Shepherd has made a significant impact in the film industry, scoring critically acclaimed films such as "Noem My Skollie / Call Me Thief" and "Fiela Se Kind".

Shepherd's music has been featured in various films, including "Action Kommandant", "Xamissa, Place of Sweet Water", and "The Uprising of Hangberg". He has also composed music for television shows, such as "Koortjies Met Jonathan Rubain" and "Lui Maar op Belinda".

In addition to his work in film and television, Shepherd has performed at numerous festivals and events, including the Tokyo Jazz Festival and the SWR NEWJazz Meeting in Germany. He has released seven critically acclaimed albums and has been nominated for several awards, including the South African Film and Television Award for Best Achievement in an Original Music Score in a Feature Film.
