Person Biography:
Ken grew up in an Air Force family, which allowed him to travel extensively throughout his youth. This unique experience instilled in him a love for reading and architecture, ultimately guiding him towards a career in landscape architecture. After establishing a successful design business, Ken redirected his attention back to his original passion, screen-writing.
Early in his writing career, Ken gained valuable recognition by placing in a prestigious screen-writing competition, giving him the confidence and encouragement to continue pursuing his dream. He has had the privilege of working with mentors Joe Bratcher of Twin Bridges Screenwriting Salon and Mario Moreno of The Writers Store.
Throughout his career, Ken's screenplays and completed films have received outstanding reviews from The Dove Foundation, earning their highest ratings for family-friendly audiences. He has successfully completed twelve feature screenplays, four award-winning feature films (A HORSE FOR SUMMER, THE SPARROWS: NESTING, SAVED BY GRACE, and FISHES 'N LOAVES),three theatrical trailers, and two award-winning short films. Additionally, Ken has completed four writer-for-hire assignments and is currently working on his fifth film, "The Robinsons," which is set to go into production in October 2015.
In recognition of his outstanding work, Ken was named the 2014-2015 Writer of the Year at the Action on Film International Film Festival. He is also included in the upcoming book "The Top 50 Indy Screenwriters in the World." Ken's primary focus in screen-writing is on the family-friendly genre.
