New Jersey born and Los Angeles raised, John embarked on a journey to become an actor in 1996, dedicating himself to a lifelong pursuit of mastering his craft on stage and screen.
With a deliberate intention to become a versatile, believable, and relatable "everyman," John draws from his own life experiences and imagination to bring authenticity to the characters he portrays. He remains acutely aware of the importance of keeping his characters grounded in reality, ensuring that the world on screen is always believable and immersive.
Directors and fellow actors alike have praised John's unwavering commitment to his work, noting that he is always impeccably prepared and a joy to direct. His ability to tap into the soul of the characters he plays, without resorting to stereotypes or clichés, has earned him a reputation for creating deeply relatable and cinematic performances.
Despite his focus on the artistic aspects of acting, John has neglected the business side of the industry, which has yet to yield the recognition he desires. To address this, John and his wife Tanya founded Singularity Productions in 2018, producing character-driven pieces for TV and film that reflect their creative sensibilities.
Classics such as "On the Water Front," "Apocalypse Now," and Orson Welles's "Touch of Evil" have had a profound influence on John's approach to acting. He credits these films with inspiring him to take on the craft and continues to draw inspiration from them to this day.
As a long-time member of the Atwater Playhouse and Method Acting School, John regards this institution as his "creative home." He has also trained at The Meisner Center in North Hollywood, CA, as well as with numerous private coaches throughout his career.
