Joakim Skarli is a Norwegian individual who has transitioned from a semi-professional footballer to a multifaceted career in the entertainment industry.
As an actor, he gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Fabian Bengtsson in the Netflix series "The Lorenskog Disappearance" (2022),a true-crime fiction series. In this series, Skarli played the role of a Swedish son of a millionaire who was kidnapped, as depicted in the Siba Case - Episode 4 The Journalists: Part 2.
Before pursuing a full-time acting career, Skarli worked in the music and entertainment industry, including stints at Sony Music Entertainment, Radio NRJ, and Kingsize Magazine.
As an actor, Skarli has produced and appeared in two short films, "The Other Side" (2017) and "Next II Mine" (2017). In both films, he played the leading role of Tom, and also had a supporting role as Magne in "Next II Mine". The latter film was handpicked to be screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2018, with direction by Prince Joe.
In addition to his film work, Skarli has made appearances in various television shows, including "The Crown", "Small Axe", "Holby City", and "Eastenders". In 2023, he will have a regular role in the BBC series "The Gold", where he will play an undercover detective.
Skarli has also ventured into the world of horror, starring in the successful short film "Leopard Heels" (2022),directed by Chris Turner.
On the stage, Skarli made his debut as a warrior performer in the Opera play "Norma" at the Opera House in Oslo, Norway, written by Sigrid Strøm Reibo.
