Jim France, a man of diverse experiences and talents, was born in Scotland and later educated in Scotland, England, and Switzerland. After a stint as an actor, he spent a significant portion of his life in the hospitality industry, honing his skills in multiple languages and eventually becoming an American citizen in 1974. His career in hospitality allowed him to live in 8 countries, 15 states, one province, Puerto Rico, and 23 cities across three continents.
France's early training in the "Repertory Theatre System" in the UK was extensive, involving participation in 40 productions annually for two years. During this time, he was involved in every aspect of theatre production, from acting to props, set design, costumes, lighting, special effects, and even prompting.
Despite being denied permission by his father to attend the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, France pursued a different path and graduated from the Hotel School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He went on to spend most of his life operating hotels, eventually rising to the position of CEO for a small hotel company.
After three years of private study, France decided to follow his dream of becoming an actor, attending his first professional audition in 2006 and landing the role of Henry Albertson in "The Fantasticks." Since then, he has been actively working in film, commercials, voice-overs, and on stage. Today, France is a happy man, fulfilled by his diverse experiences and continued pursuit of his passion for acting.
