Jessie most recently produced the feature documentary The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley, a collaborative effort with Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney for HBO, which had its world premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. This notable production is not Jessie's only notable achievement in the realm of documentary filmmaking, as she also produced Do You Trust This Computer?, a feature documentary that delves into the fascinating world of artificial intelligence.
In addition to her work on these documentaries, Jessie has also ventured into directing and producing, with A Revolution in Four Seasons being a notable example. This documentary, which profiles Tunisia after the Arab Spring, premiered at the esteemed Hot Docs film festival in 2016. Jessie's other directing and producing credits include Spark: A Burning Man Story, which debuted at the SXSW film festival in 2013 and was later aired on Showtime. Death by Fire, another documentary directed and produced by Jessie, opened the season of PBS's FRONTLINE in 2010.
Jessie's impressive portfolio also includes producing credits for Who Killed the Electric Car? (Sony Pictures Classics, 2006) and Revenge of the Electric Car, which aired on PBS's Independent Lens in 2011. Jessie holds a Master of Journalism (MJ) and Master of Arts (MA) from the University of California, Berkeley, and was a Fulbright scholar in Oman, Morocco, and Tunisia from 2010-2011.
