Jay Dee Walters was born in Houston, Texas, to Joe D. Walters and Floye M. Walters, and his early life was deeply rooted in strong family bonds and big dreams. Raised in a lively household with four brothers, Jeff, Joseph, Jeremy, and Tim, and one sister, Diana, Jay's childhood was marked by a sense of unity and shared adventure. His journey took an unexpected turn when he met his high school sweetheart, Karla, in the lush landscapes of Honduras, Central America. The two have now been happily married for over 34 years and are the proud parents of Isabella and Brandon Walters.
As a multi-talented creative force in the independent film world, Jay has made his mark as an actor, writer, director, producer, and technology entrepreneur. In addition to his creative pursuits, he is the founder of a thriving technology company that has been in business for over 30 years, showcasing his versatility and entrepreneurial spirit.

As a writer, Jay has co-penned the holiday hit Grumpy Old Santa alongside Justin Chaffee, and has continued writing with Porch Pirates, Pickleball, and the faith-based drama The First Martyr currently in development. Jay stepped behind the camera for his directorial debut with Grumpy Old Santa, starring Glenn Morshower, Kevin P. Farley, and Gary Valentine, introducing audiences to his unique vision as a director and solidifying his place in the indie filmmaking space.
