Edouard Philipponnat, a French-Finnish actor, was born in 1999. His early years were marked by a unique educational experience, as he attended a Swedish school at a young age, followed by a stint at a Swiss school that offered an international curriculum. This exposure to various languages and cultures has undoubtedly shaped Philipponnat's linguistic abilities, as he is fluent in four languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, and French.
Philipponnat's interest in acting began at the tender age of 13, when he landed a role as a young squire in the film 'Dragonheart 3: The Sorcerer's Curse'. Since then, he has been involved in numerous projects that required intense preparation and dedication. For his first leading role in 'The Runner', Philipponnat went to great lengths, losing a significant 37 pounds to convincingly portray a drug addict.
Philipponnat's impressive resume includes appearances in Ridley Scott's 'House of Gucci', as well as a memorable turn as The Mad Hatter in 'Get Lost', a live-action re-imagining of 'Alice in Wonderland'. Most recently, Philipponnat completed filming 'Napoleon', opposite Joaquin Phoenix, and re-teamed with director Ridley Scott to play the role of Tsar Alexander, the infamous rival of Napoleon Bonaparte.
