Shelby Dale Berry, a remarkable individual, was born on September 3, 1928, in the vibrant city of Dallas, Texas. His early life was marked by a strong sense of romance, as he married his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Louise Lewis, on January 25, 1947. For the majority of his life, Berry worked alongside his father and uncle in the heavy construction machinery business, gaining valuable experience and skills.
However, Berry's passion for filmmaking led him to write, direct, and/or produce a limited number of low-budget regional exploitation films in the mid-1960s. He also had a few acting credits to his name, showcasing his versatility as a performer. Moreover, Berry and his wife, Dorothy, were actively involved in their community, being members of the prestigious DAC Country Club and participating in various charity organizations that raised funds for numerous children's charities.
Tragically, Berry's life came to an end at the age of 83 on October 20, 2011, in Sunnyvale, Texas. He left behind a legacy of love and a family that cherished him dearly, including three children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
