Charlie S. Gray was born in Staten Island, New York, and spent his formative years in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, located just outside of Scranton. He is the proud son of Lynda Dotson Gray, a retired P&G employee who now drives a school bus, and Charles C. Gray, a former collegiate athlete at the University of North Carolina.
Charlie's family has a rich creative heritage, with his aunt, Diva Gray, being a talented singer and actress who has worked as a background vocalist for notable acts such as "Chic" and "The Harlettes," Bette Midler's all-female backing group.
Charlie began his acting career as a background extra, appearing in various films and television shows, including "The Dark Knight Rises," "Baywatch," "Whiteboy Rick," "Banshee," and "Escape at Dannemora." After gaining valuable experience in the industry, Charlie transitioned to the independent film market, taking on lead roles in several short films and web series, such as "Genocide," "Things not Proud of," "I Wasn't Really Happy," "Affinity," "Lor2," "Parallel," and the feature film "Unbroken."
