Chad Phillips, a talented individual, was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and completed his secondary education at D.C.P.S. His mother, Lorraine, ran a casting agency, which inadvertently sparked his interest in being in front of the camera during his early years.
Despite missing school, his parents prioritized his education, and Chad had to forgo his dream of becoming an actor. However, this setback did not deter him from pursuing his passion.
After finishing his education, Chad attended the London School of Dramatic Arts and graduated in 2009. Upon his return to South Africa, he was fortunate enough to audition for Emma Ress Management, a prestigious agency. He landed a job the very next day, performing alongside Rosamund Pike in the film "Women in Love," which instilled in him the confidence that he was meant to be an actor.
At 22, Chad was cast as a supporting lead in the international feature film "Fynbos." He later became a father and took a temporary hiatus from the industry. However, his passion for acting persisted, and he went on to work with renowned professionals such as Andy Serkis, Robert Richardson, Chris Evens, and Gideon Raff.
In 2018, Chad starred in the film "Amazing Grace" as the lead character, covering eight years of a true-life documentary drama.
