Brian Sloan is a WGA-nominated writer, director, and producer with over two decades of experience in the film and television industry. His work has been showcased at numerous prestigious film festivals worldwide, including Sundance, Berlin, Toronto, and New Directors/New Films, as well as being commercially released in the United States and internationally.
Brian has written and directed two feature films: the romantic comedy "I Think I Do" (1998),starring Alexis Arquette, Tuc Watkins, and Guillermo Diaz, and the indie drama "WTC View" (2006),starring Michael Urie.
He curated the "Boys Life" (1994) shorts anthology with Strand Releasing, which included his NYU thesis film "Pool Days." Additionally, he was the executive producer of "Boys Life 4" (2003),for which he wrote and directed "Bumping Heads" starring Craig Chester.
Brian was also the executive producer of Brian Pera's debut feature "The Way I See Things" (2008). In 2010, he co-wrote and produced Eldar Rapaport's debut feature "August," starring Murray Bartlett, which premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival.
He has also worked on several documentary projects, including being an associate producer on the 9/11 documentary "Out of the Clear Blue Sky" (2012),which debuted at the 2012 IDA Docuweeks.
For television, Brian co-produced and wrote for the Discovery Channel's "Cookin' In Brooklyn," and has co-produced and directed pilots for Viacom, including "Made" for CMT and "Half-Share" for Logo, as well as NBC/Universal's "Cobbs Ferry."
Brian received his undergraduate degree from Boston College, where he studied English and minored in Film, and later attended NYU's prestigious graduate film program at the Tisch School of the Arts, earning his MFA.
Today, Brian resides in New York City, where he continues to work in the film and television industry.
