Biography

Beryl Wallace was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a family of nine children of Austrian-Jewish descent. As a teenager, she responded to a casting call and landed a role in the 1928 "Earl Carroll Vanities." She later appeared in other provocative shows, some featuring frontal nudity, and changed her name to "Beryl Wallace."
