Enemy of Women

A talented but troubled physician accepts a tutoring position with a wealthy family, only to find his darker inclinations slowly surface as he becomes increasingly manipulative towards the women in his care.

Young Dr. Paul Joseph Göbbels, a struggling playwright, takes a tutoring position to make ends meet. He becomes infatuated with actress Maria Brandt, but is rejected by her father, Colonel Brandt. Göbbels is captivated by Hitler's speech at a socialist party meeting and becomes a devoted follower, earning the nickname "Scoundrel of Berlin." He manipulates Maria's career, making her an overnight star, but she rejects his advances, instead focusing on her relationship with a young doctor, Hans Traeger.
