Barry Allan Onody, a natural storyteller and jokester, has always been passionate about acting and entertaining. He has an innate ability to make everyone feel at ease, and his presence is often accompanied by laughter. This talent surfaced in his youth, where he would entertain his friends and family with an endless repertoire of jokes.
Growing up in southern Alberta, Canada, Barry was always the center of attention. He would perform for his 4H club and even keep his rodeo friends laughing with his playful antics. It was only natural that he would be drawn to the world of theatre arts in high school, college, and eventually, in his professional life.
Barry's love for acting led him to study the craft and pursue his interest in film and television. He met his wife, Tara, while attending acting classes in Calgary, and they have been together for 38 years. With her support, Barry traveled to Los Angeles to train with renowned coaches Judy Kerr and Terry Berland.
He went on to have a successful career in commercials in Canada and even landed small movie roles. However, his priority shifted when he started a family, and he dedicated his time to providing for his loved ones. Despite this, he continued to work on local theatre productions and eventually made his way back to Los Angeles to pursue his acting passion.
In 2012, Barry starred in an episode of the "Locked up Abroad" franchise for RAW TV of England. He portrayed real-life mobster Frank Cullotta in the episode "Locked up Abroad - Vegas Mobster," which was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa.
Currently, Barry has nine films in pre-production, with lead and strong supporting roles. Some of his upcoming projects include "X The End Time," "Warriors of Eight Flags," "Searching 4U," "Ocassus," and "Devils Highway." These films will be shot in various locations around the world, including Turkey, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Finland, Europe, and the USA.
Barry holds dual citizenship in the United States and Canada, allowing him to work in both countries without the need for a visa. He is a member of SAGe and ACTRA in Canada and is expected to become a member of SAG/AFTRA once he completes his upcoming projects.
