Alex Knapp is a multifaceted creative professional, excelling as a director, producer, and actor. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, he was later educated in the vibrant city of New York, where he earned a degree in Culture and Media from The New School University's esteemed Eugene Lang College.
During his time at The New School, Alex was an accomplished student, creating numerous films, playing college basketball, and serving as an assistant to the acclaimed writer/director Laurie Collyer, whose notable works include Sherrybaby, Sunlight Jr, and The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe.
Following his graduation, Alex ventured into the New York film, television, and commercial industry, where he gained extensive experience in all aspects of production while working for prominent companies such as CBS, ScottFree, Serial Pictures, and Anonymous Content.
Alex's creative endeavors continued to flourish as he directed and starred in the online comedy series TWO PA'S, before being cast in the lead role for the high school horror-comedy film BAD EXORCISTS. He also played the title character in the sci-fi feature ZOMBIES VS JOE ALIEN.
Currently residing in Brooklyn and Hudson, New York, Alex has recently completed post-production on his directorial feature debut, GO / DON'T GO, while simultaneously directing and producing various commercial pieces, narrative shorts, and music videos under the banner of his co-owned production company, A+M CREATIVE.
