In 1947 England, a plastic surgeon flees to France after a botched operation, only to find new opportunities in a French circus where he transforms deformed women into beautiful stars. However, his success is short-lived as the women who want to leave the circus start dying in tragic accidents, raising suspicions among the police and a curious reporter.
