Biography

Conrad Phillips, a renowned individual, was born on April 13th, 1925, although he cleverly forged his birthdate on his ration book to appear older and meet the enlistment criteria, thus joining the Royal Navy during World War II. Following his military service, Phillips embarked on an acting career, gracing the stages and screens of film, television, and cinema between 1948 and 1991. However, his illustrious acting career was tragically cut short due to chronic pain in his back, hip, and both knee joints, which were a result of accidents sustained during his performances.

Phillips is most famously recognized for his starring role in the long-running television series, William Tell, which comprised 39 episodes between 1958 and 1959. In his personal life, Phillips was married twice, with his second wife, Jennie, whom he wed in July 1968. At the time of his passing, they resided in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Prior to settling in Chippenham, the couple owned and managed a dilapidated Scottish hill farm called Skeoch, which Jennie later wrote about in a book, published in both paperback and ebook formats. After Skeoch, they relocated to France, where they spent 20 years renovating an old French barn. Phillips was also an accomplished author.

To stimulate his creative endeavors, Phillips enjoyed an occasional whisky or, preferably, a cold pint of Wadworths 6X, the local brew.
