Biography

Will Poulter is a renowned English actor, distinguished for his captivating performances in various film and television projects. He first gained recognition for his portrayal of Lee Carter in the 2007 film Son of Rambow, a Hammer and Tongs production. Poulter's early career was marked by his impressive performance as Eustace Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010),a third installment in the beloved Narnia franchise.

Born in Hammersmith, London, Poulter is the son of Caroline (Barrah),a dedicated nurse, and Neil Poulter, a prominent professor of cardiology. His mother's family has a rich Anglo heritage, with her own father serving as a notable game warden at the Maasai Mara wildlife sanctuary in Kenya.

Poulter's educational background includes attendance at The Harrodian School, where he actively participated in drama. His drama teacher, Laura Lawson, played a significant role in encouraging Poulter to audition for Son of Rambow. Lawson also directed the E4 comedy sketch show School of Comedy (2009),which Poulter joined, showcasing his versatility by portraying various characters, including "Mr. Mills" and a South African security guard.

School of Comedy began as an after-school club, featuring children parodying the world of adults. The show gained popularity, being taken to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe and later adapted into a six-part television series for E4. The show has successfully run for two seasons.

Poulter's career has seen him take on a wide range of roles, including his portrayal of Eustace Clarence Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010),which was filmed in Queensland, Australia. During his almost six-month stay in Australia, Poulter was accompanied by his mother and younger sister, while his father was unable to stay due to work commitments. His older siblings were able to join him for about two weeks before returning to England.

Poulter's recent projects include the British independent film Wild Bill (2011),directed by Dexter Fletcher, and his first American film character, Kenny Rossmore, in the comedic We're the Millers (2013),a major box office hit in the United States.
