In 1991 Los Angeles, Jack Deth's life with his wife Lena is disrupted by the return of Whistler's brother, E.D. Wardo, who has started a trancer farm under the GreenWorld organization. GreenWorld, claiming to "clean up the world," is actually kidnapping homeless people and mental patients to become "tranced" and targets Hap, a future Council Member's ancestor. Jack's ready to take down the trancers, but he's shocked when his dead wife Alice is brought back to 1991 through technology to help him stop Wardo.
