A once-thriving family-owned hotel and casino has fallen into disrepair under the ownership of Oliver Sloan. The establishment is now home to a diverse group of guests, including Anthony Bellio, who is secretly plotting a takeover, celebrity boxer Clay Laroue Jr, and ambitious TV reporter C. Whitmore Evans, who is researching a segment on fire safety. However, their stay is cut short when a massive fire erupts, threatening the lives of everyone inside and testing the owner's and fire department's abilities to contain the blaze.
