Biography

Suki Kaiser was born in 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, due to her mother's missionary work, she spent a significant portion of her childhood traveling extensively. When she was just five years old, she immigrated to Canada with her mother, and later moved to Newport, Rhode Island, where she spent a significant amount of her adolescence.

During her formative years, Suki attended multiple high schools, boarding schools, and performing arts schools, and also spent a considerable amount of time following the legendary touring band, Grateful Dead. She graduated with honors from high school and went on to attend The University of Colorado at Boulder, where she majored in Anthropology and studied creative writing.

While at college, someone suggested she audition for a commercial, which eventually led her to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. After finding success in the world of commercials, Suki decided to relocate to Hollywood, where she spent four years trying to make a name for herself in the industry, but ultimately found little success.

Feeling discouraged, Suki relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, where she opened her own acting studio and taught acting classes. It was during this time that she was first discovered, landing small roles in independent films and made-for-TV movies. Her big break came when she landed a recurring role on the TV series Nash Bridges in 1996, which ultimately led to her being cast in the PAX series Hope Island in 1999 and the film The Virgin Suicides in 1999, co-starring Sofia Coppola.

Suki has since appeared in numerous films, including Marine Life in 2000, and has starred in several television series, including Hope Island, as well as many TV movies and episodes. Although she still works in film and television, she has also dedicated a significant amount of her time to writing, and has co-directed and co-produced an award-winning short film, Speak, with her husband and fellow actor, Jonathan Scarfe.

Suki married Jonathan Scarfe in the summer of 1998, and the couple splits their time between Vancouver and Los Angeles.
