Fred Claus, Santa's older brother, relocates to the North Pole to assist Santa and the elves in preparing for Christmas, accepting a financial incentive in exchange for his help.

Fred Claus, a self-centered guy, seeks $50,000 to open an off-track-betting shop. After a scam goes wrong, he turns to his brother Nick, aka Santa, for a loan. Nick agrees, but only if Fred helps with the Christmas rush at the North Pole. Fred, struggling with his girlfriend's departure, heads north to assist Santa with an audit and determine who's naughty or nice.
