Clint Eastwood's character, Bronco Billy McCoy, owns a struggling Wild West show that's been unable to pay its employees for six months. He meets Antoinette Lily, a high-society woman abandoned by her husband, and hires her as his assistant. Despite initially causing bad luck, Antoinette eventually warms up to her new life and develops feelings for Billy.
